There's a fairy in my garden

Happy Birthday Grandad

So here it is.  The birthday card for my Grandad.  My Grandad will be 84 at the end of the month.  He lives in a small town outside Christchurch.

I can just imagine him sitting in his garden with a cup of tea reading the paper.

I loved making this card, especially the newspaper.  He is reading 'the Press' which is the Christchurch paper.

I made the glasses from craft wire and used coloured pencil to accentuate parts of the card.

I can't wait to send it.  All I need to do now is buy a nice present.

You won't want to lose these little chickens.

Aren't they adorable.

These cute chickens can be used as paper weights or by children as juggling toys.

Some chickens are scented so they can be placed in a drawer to freshen clothes or used just as a nice smelling ornament.

Whatever they are used for they are very funky.

Extinct? Who said dinosaurs were extinct?

 There's no extinct dinosaurs here.

Made from foam these little dinosaurs are so real they nearly jump off the card!

You will be kept in their sights with their big googly eye.

The Nancy card ( the first time I made it was for a lady called Nancy) is a card in cream, black and red with three-dimensional layered flowers.  The centre of the flowers are decorated in beads and sequins.  And what better way to tie this lovely posy but with ribbon?

I sent a Nancy card to an English cardmaking magazine, Papercraft Inspirations.  The card was published on their reader's page and I was sent some goodies for cardmaking!
